Ordinarily a ‘Shareholder Agreement’ - but if it was between only two parties of a closely held (i.e. private corp) limited company, though it is not a ‘partnership agreement,’ two would it be better to term it something else?

I see your point, but according to my knowledge based on working as an inhouse translator in a law firm, the correct term used by business partners is shareholders agreement, although the companies may be closely related.

Asker: Thanks. That is what it looks like, but it is more like a limited partnership agreement. I would say that "shareholder's agreements" in the US have a somewhat different meaning.

Partnership Agreement or Deed of Parternship suggests a set-up. This looks like an ad hoc agreement between existing members.

Nor is it on all fours with a Shareholders' Agreement.
