public service campaign Explanation: I hope this suggestion is affirmed or debunked by someone in the UK. I'm slightly surprised to see that the same term is used there as here in the U.S. See the links for examples. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2013-07-08 15:09:51 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I used "campaign" specifically because of "-kampagne" and your indication in your description. Along the way, I found examples for "public service advert" (here in the U.S. we'd use "advertisement", of course) and the mutual use of "public service announcement".
