Czech term or phrase: redakční úvod
I'm not sure of the exact context but it pertains to a publication about a city. Is a literal translation - 'editorial prologue' - correct? Can anyone tell me what a 'redakční úvod' is, compared with just 'úvod'? Thanks in advance!

Reference: Generally this is an "editor's preface" but this is not hard-and-fast

Reference information:
Normally the foreword is written by someone other than the author or editor; a book may contain both an author's preface and the editor's preface.

Here is an overview: http://www.patmcnees.com/the_difference_between_a_preface__f...

--------------------------------------------------

The editor's preface generally appears in books whose authors have died during writing or -- and this is much more common -- in editions of a book subsequent to the first edition: the editor then explains any changes that have been made to the text since its first publication.
