I mean this in terms of how a person relates to a variety of concepts, since this is marketing. However, in a different way, Jan does make sense to me as well.

Thanks, everyone. Impossible to choose! "Problem solver" is what I actually used. I put it down because it seemed to fit the context, and then there didn't seem to be any strong reason to change it.

I considered "conceptual person" (or "concepts / ideas person") as an option.

I've also noted "focused", "well-organized" etc. as nuances you can get out of this word.

In my opinion, "koncepční" in Czech and "conceptual" in English don't really collocate with people. I don't think that there is an unambiguous common understanding what a conceptual person is like. The explanation it's someone who is good at creating concepts as opposed to someone who is good at (their) practical implementations is strange to me and doesn't fit this query's context very much. I more imagine a person who makes decisions based on certain concepts as opposed to a person who improvises.

I actually quite like 'focused' that Gerry has mentioned...

(for a change :)). I believe it was the same case with "neadresnosť" and that's why I so stubornly insisted (and still do) on "impersonal approach" even though we have a term "neosobný prístup" in Slovak.

Therefore, capable of abstract thought probably hits the nail on the head. However, as I said below - I honestly don't know whether that train of thought went through the mind of the respondent. IMO it is purely a throw-away piece of jargon that sounds 'trendy' or clever - have you ever heard of this being attributed to a person? My friend who suggested 'focused' to me is a marketing director and even he didn't know for sure. It's one of those 'what on earth are you on about?' moments, to which surveys such as this are especially prone - cf. neadresnost, etc. :) Pure marketing newspeak which has no real meaning.

Conceptual skills refer to the ability to form concepts. These are various levels of cognitive (mainly verbal) abstractions beginning with the exercise of denotating simple physical objects (e.g. a cat) to higher level abstractions which go beyond the physically visible (e.g. truth). In everyday use, we also say someone has conceptual skills who is able to look at patterns of objects and events and label them (with a concept word), which identifies, organizes and makes sense of the pattern, trend, or configuration of objects or events, with a putative explanatory intent.

that's what I think it might mean here, but most people don't even know what neologisms such as this mean anyway - it just sounds good, and it is used wrongly. I don't think I have ever seen this attributed to a person. The only way to really know is to ask the person who wrote it what they meant by it.

I just asked a couple of Czech friends - one said 'capable of abstract thought', and another one said 'focused', so take that as you will!

I guess if someone can conceive good ideas, they are creative, although this is a different character trait than the adjoining "communicative and reliable", hence my uncertainty. But Communicative and Reliable are also different character traits, so it seems to me that this survey pools a lot of different attributes into the same question? Would have to see the rest.
