Ako se radi o matičnom klubu igrača, to u 99% slučajeva znači klub u kome je ponikao, tj. prvi klub u kome je igrao.

Sad ne mogu uopšte da se setim nekog izraza na engleskom koji bi baš to označavao, čini mi se da je ovo najpribližnije jer home club može da znači i klub u kojem igrač trenutno igra.

Parent bi moglo da bude ako se priča o dva kluba kao npr. Dinamo i Lokomotiva, gde je Lokomotiva Dinamova filijala.
