Preporuka Agencije za znanost i visoko obrazovanje je da se titule ne prevode, kao što ne prevodimo ni AG u d.o.o. Kratica ostaje kakva jest, a ako baš moramo prevesti zbog objašnjenja, to može biti kao opaska. U Hrvatskoj nema standarda (odrađen je projekt prijevoda stručnih i akademskih titula, suradnja Društva sudskih tumača i prevoditelja i Grupacije prevoditelja pri HGK) - kratice su ostale neprevedene.
