Chinese term or phrase:

Benefiting from being a whore, yet one still demand a monument for one's charity. 希望母语为英语的译者们看看这样译能否讲得通。

至于被骂的是男的还是女的,我觉得倒不用太计较,根据下面这个在线词典,男妓也叫 whore.

如果放在上下文中,也许可以说成:
What he claims is like leading the life of a whore, benefitting from it, and yet still demanding a monument for his charity.

behaving like a church slut

Explanation:
church slut
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=church slut

A church slut is a rare species of the female population that regularly attends church, puts up a perfect facade, fooling all those around her, and in the end, ends up jumping all the dicks in her proximity.

agree  Rita Pang: I actually thought this is a short and simple way to render it correctly, but given that the gender is unclear, this might not work.

The woman acts like a b*tch and then expects people to treat her like royalty

Explanation:
If it's coming from a spoken dialogue, I'd consider a more colloquial translation. Here's a suggestion:

The woman acts like a b*tch and then expects people to treat her like royalty.

I think the English does a decent job in communicating the idea of hypocrisy, and it seems appropriate to me to use a more colorful (and crass) turn of phrase given the register of the Chinese. If you want to be extra mindful, you could always expand a bit: "The woman is a hypocrite: she acts like a b*tch and then expects people to treat her like royalty."

That's true. My translation is assuming it's said by the (ex-) husband. If it's said by the wife, you'll have to opt for something else. In that case, you could go with your original translation and add a curse word or two: "The man's a damn hypocrite!"

Notes to answerer
Asker: This term is used by the utterer to revile someone else being hypocritical. If you translate literally, it is possible the final reader would not be able to understand the true intention of the original utterer. They would try to understand the literal meaning without being able to appreciate the holistic picture. Do you agree?

Asker: Another problem is that it could be used figuratively for men as well. If you translate literally, it would not be appropriate to describe men.

agree  alexgochenou (X): This is a good rendering, imo.

disagree  Rita Pang: It's not about being treated like royalty- presumably this is about a woman being a third wheel , that she "sleeps around (a slut), but wants to be known for being pure/innocent (贞节牌坊). The point is a slut who wants to be known for NOT being a slut

-> Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure about your "third wheel" comment but understand what you're getting at. I was under the impression the phrase can be used more broadly and does not *necessarily* refer to sexual impurity. I'll defer to your judgment.

Notes to answerer
Asker: 我承认是简单的化 , 可是这句话不仅可以形容女人,也可以来骂男人, 如果是用在一个男人身上, 按照文字翻译,并不合适

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
agree  Rita Pang: I agree. As the Asker said however, the gender here is not clear, so the word "whore" might need to be re-considered depending on context. The word "monument" might be a bit too literal as well.

agree  Rachel McGuffin: I also agree with this. If it's for a man, the phrase "man-whore" or "playboy" (less strong) could work. And ensure to say chastity, not charity as they are not the same.

agree  Angela Howell: imho Too literal while the usage of 虚伪can be accepted in CI/SI (conference or simul. interpreting).
