NT: Embarcació de rem de la Mediterrània, no reglamentada ni olímpica. The Spanish chalupa is often translated as a "skiff", so maybe specifying that it was a "Mediterranean skiff" might do the trick. But it depends on your context, was the boat a rowing boat?
