"sakubis" fabric [light white cotton fabric]
Explanation:
Hi there,
i looked it so thoroughly but i couldn't find any matching equivalent term and as it's a specific cultural term it's likely that you will not find 100% English term so the safest course here is to render it to the English sound from like "hijab", " tobe", "thobe "or "jallabiyah" with a little elaboration between brackets "sakubis" fabric [light white cotton fabric]

Thanks for your help. I eventually decided to call it "gauze," which was okay for the context.
