I am a translator and interpreter with many of years of experience and a unique cultural sensitivity, having grown up bilingual in English and Spanish and traveling extensively. For 10 years I lived in Egypt and Jordan as a musician, teacher and translator, visited other countries in the region and developed a deep familiarity and connection with local and language and culture. I hold a Master of Arts in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Georgetown University, where I studied contemporary Arabic poetry. This has led me to specialize in literary translation from Arabic to English, although I enjoy translating in other fields.

I also have extensive experience in tourism and hospitality, and am available for interpretation and guided tours of Madrid and around Spain, speaking English, Arabic, and Spanish.
