Source text - English With 2014 declared the Year of Small Island Developing States, the 3rd International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS) was held in the Pacific Island state of Samoa, attended by over 2,000 participants from UN member states, civil society and relevant stakeholders. It was described by UN General Assembly President John Ashe as a truly transformative occasion, with a marked change from the usual New York setting to that of an island nation with its strong cultural traditions and pristine beauty, but visibly vulnerable to rising seas levels.
Prior to the formal Conference, there were 4 Pre-Conference Forums – Private Sector, Youth, Renewal Energy, and Major Groups and Other Stakeholders. The Major Groups Forum, organized by UNDESA in partnership with the Samoa Umbrella of NGOs (SUNGO), was held on 29 August and attended by over 250 representatives from civil society organizations and stakeholders from the Caribbean; Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean and South China Seas (AIMS) and Pacific SIDS.

تشهد ________ أن د. ________، قد شارك في تمرين إدارة الأزمات الذي تعقده الكلية مرتين سنوياً ويضم عدداً من أفراد القوات المسلحة بكافة فروعها والدبلوماسيين من أعضاء حلف الناتو ودول مبادرة الحوار المتوسطي ،ومبادرة إسطنبول على مدى 6 سنوات وذلك منذ عام 2009 وحتى عام 2014،وقد عمل د. _____ كموجه أكاديمي من منطقة الشرق الأوسط، وقد استطاع د ._____ بما له من خبرة أكاديمية متميزة حيث أنه متخصص في سياسات حلف الناتو تجاه منطقة الشرق الأوسط عموماً ودول مجلس التعاون الخليجي خاصة، بالإضافة إلى خبرته العملية الممتدة من خلال العمل في العديد من مراكز الدراسات ذات الصلة بأمن الخليج العربي، استطاع أن يثير العديد من الأفكار والقضايا المهمة التي انعكست على مسار التمرين والنتائج التي توصل إليها الدارسون، وكان لأفكاره وتعليقاته العميقة أثر كبير في نجاح التمرين من ناحية، وتفعيل الحوار بين حلف الناتو والدول الشريكة للحلف وبخاصة دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي من ناحية أخرى وهو الأمر الذي تقدره الكلية كثيراً.
والجدير بالذكر أن د._____ أيضاً قد أمضى أربعة أشهر الفترة من يوليو وحتى أكتوبر عام 2009 في قسم البحوث بالكلية من خلال منحة دراسية أعد خلالها دراسة بعنوان" مبادرة اسطنبول للتعاون بين دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي وحلف الناتو: المعوقات والحلول" وتم نشرها في كتيب باللغة الإنجليزية ضمن إصدارات قسم البحوث.
كما ألقى د. ________ العديد من المحاضرات في الكلية ذاتها حول قضايا أمن الخليج العربي والعراق وإيران، وشارك في بعض المؤتمرات التي نظمتها الكلية بشأن العلاقات بين حلف الناتو ودول مجلس التعاون الخليجي.

The training involves individuals from the different branches of military forces as well as diplomats from the member states of NATO, the Mediterranean Dialogues Initiative, and Istanbul Initiative over a period of six years from _____ to _____. Dr. ______ worked as an academic guide from the Middle East area. As Dr. ______ was a distinguished academic expert who specialized in NATO's policies towards the Middle East region in general and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in specific, and who had rich and valuable practical experience based on his extended work in think tanks related the Security of the Arabian Gulf, he was able to present a lot of critical ideas and issues, which reflected on the training course and the results that the scholars reached. His deep thoughts and comments had a great influence on the training success on one hand, and the activation of the dialogue between NATO and the partner states, especially the GCC countries, on the other, the thing that was highly appreciated by the College.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. ______ had spent a period of four months from July to October 2009 in the Research Department at the College. He was granted a scholarship during which he prepared a study under the title of "The Istanbul Cooperation Initiative Agreement between NATO and the GCC Countries: Obstacles and Propositions". This study was published in English by the Research Department.
At the same time, Dr. ______ delivered many lectures at the same College on the issues of the security of the Arabian Gulf, Iraq, and Iran. He also participated in some conferences organized by the College on the relationship between NATO and the GCC countries.
