Educational requirements for being an ATA member, or ATA-certified? Thread poster: TBO IntoEnglish

Hi folks, I've been looking around on the ATA (American Translators Association) website but can't find any specific requirement lists for either becoming a member or ATA-certified, specifically, related to the education that one must have completed prior to joining the association. For example, do they require a completed translation degree or some other kind of completed course of study? Any help would be much appreciated. ATA is in the process of developing an online certification exam. Certification is not a requirement for membership, but membership is a requirement for certification (a move to abolish that link was narrowly defeated by a vote at the ATA's General Meeting yesterday). ▲ Collapse | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Educational requirements for being an ATA member, or ATA-certified?
