As mentioned on the TranZ-Arabia I conference page, one of the major aims is to discuss the establishment of a Pan-Arab entity for translators and interpreters all over the region to get together, network, improve their skills, further their business, etc. This could be a corporation, an association, or any other form that would best serve the purpose.

Would building on an existing entity be a viable possibility? This could also be an opportunity for colleagues who are/were members of existing or previous translation bodies in the region to share their experiences.
I would like to invite all interested colleagues to introduce initial ideas so that we can start discussing them here on the forum in preparation for presenting and discussing them further during the event, selecting the most suitable suggestion, and working on implementing it.
