Working on multiple computers Thread poster: Atakan Karakis

Hi there, I have one laptop (Mac), one desktop (PC) and I work with both regularly. I want to be able to continue a project I started on either one of my computers. I already tried opening the files created by Cafetran with my second computer. The project is opened but I cannot seem to edit nor continue what I have already started. What should I do? Thank you in advance, Best, Atakan | | | Export to Package, then Open project | Feb 3, 2020 |
Hello Atakan, Assuming this is a native project and you wish to copy the files locally between the two computers, here is one method you can try: - On computer A, with the project open, in CafeTran go to Project > Export and Exchange > To Package and select an export location. Close CafeTran. - Copy the .ctp file (a compressed archive containing the project files) to computer B. - On computer B, Open CafeTran, then Open project > select the ctp... Jean Merci beaucoup Jean, Yes, it is a native project. I have now tried the method you advised but the issue persists. I see the project but I can't edit anything. In the previous versions of Cafetran, I remember there used to be a 'Start' button but I don't see it anymore. So I am a little bit lost now. I am on the latest update in both computers (10.7.1 Doughnut), I don't know what else I could provide unless you guide me. Thanks again, Atakan | | |
