After finishing high school, love towards science and engineering prevailed and I chose to enroll Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb. After five years of study, I have obtained a Master degree in Computing in February 2011. During my academic education, I have participated in Erasmus student exchange at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and BEST summer course on Biomedical Engineering in Leuven, Belgium. The experience gained through this form of international education has helped me broaden my communication skills in foreign languages.
In last few years of academic education I have chosen to combine computer engineering with biology and medicine by working on the project of treatment planning of solid, deep-seated tumors by electrochemotherapy, in cooperation with University of Ljubljana.
Currently, I am employed as a Junior Researcher at Laboratory of Biocybernetics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, where I am also pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering. My main area of work includes above mentioned treatment planning of solid, deep-seated tumors by electrochemotherapy. In short, my work requires skills in mainly computer engineering, math and electrical engineering, with a background in biology and medicine. I've been working with technical translation for almost 25 years. During all this time, I've worked in almost every area realted to translation: translator, project manager, copy desk, etc. I've always worked as freelancer, bu...t also worked in house for translation bureaus, being a connection between the Companies and the bureau. So, I talked directly with the responsibles for the project within the Companies, in order to clarify doubts and ellaborate glossaries which are still in use by such Companies. Among these, I can name Honda Cars and Motorcycles, Toyota, GM, Bentley, Ford Cars and Trucks among others. Automotive is my main area, but I have done translations for more than 10 dfferent areas, including IT, Marketing, Medical, Software and Hardware in general etc. I'm always available for new jobs and work even in weekends and holydays. All my work is always delivered on time and my average production is 5,000 words/day for translation and 3,000 word/s day for versions (Portuguese -> English). I am available for any testing and interviews, if necessary. I'm looking forward for an oppotunity to work for your Company!
