I got my BA degree from Hacettepe University ELT department in 2002. I had several translation courses through my education. I finished my MA degree in Marmara University, Communicational Studies on Mass Media Researches. I finished my doctorate on Radio/TV Studies in Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences.

I have been working as a professional/sworn translator for almost 20 years. I translated several books for World Tourism Organization and other publishing houses. Some of them are: "The Changes in Leisure Time: The Impact on Tourism", "Crisis Management In The Tourism Industry (Dirk Glaesser)", "Capitalism and Class in the Gulf Arab States (Adam Hanieh)", "Administering Civil Society: Towards a Theory of State Power (Mark Neocleous)", "Stephanie's Ponytail (Robert Münsch)", etc. I worked as an in-house translator for some of the biggest translation companies in Turkey (Set Systems Language Services, Cevher Translation Services and Urban Translation Services, etc.) and cooperated with some of the biggest translation offices worldwide (Lionbridge, ZStudio, Studio Gambit, Welocalize, WHP International, CBG Consult, East Localize, Gibson Research Consultancy, Andovar Localization Services, LionBridge etc.). I took part in big projects from several fields since 2002 in regular basis as a freelance translator, in-house translator, senior editor and project manager. Some of these projects; User and Operation manuals of medical devices (Philips C3 Systems, Prismaflex, Panasonic, etc.), Automotive (Opel, Saab, GM, Volvo Cars and Construction Machines, etc.), technical translations (Brother sewing machines, Merrow, Merloni, Arcelik, Beko, etc.), Nokia, Siemens, Samsung manuals, Panasonic fax machine manuals, Dell manuals, Microsoft software localizations, Google Adwords localizations, invoices of all kinds, advertisement texts, web site localizations, application forms for EU donation programs, bidding specifications, rulings and governmental statements, certification and legal statements, confidentiality agreements, insurance policies, lawsuits, arbitrations, licenses and patents etc.

I have been using Trados Studio, MemSource, MemoQ, Logoport, SDLX, Ttw10, Passolo, etc. for years.

I am a certified/sworn translator in 13th Notary Public, Kadikoy Istanbul since 2004.
