I am Dāvids Krišs Akmens, currently pursuing a Professional Bachelor Study Programme in Translation and Language Technology at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences in Latvia. My specialization lies in English, Latvian, and Russian languages. Through an Erasmus+ Exchange Semester at the University of South Brittany in France, I furthered my studies in British and American Language, Literature, and Civilization. My work history encompasses freelance translation, tutoring in English and Latvian, and roles in customer service and hospitality. With a deep-seated passion for languages and cultures, coupled with a keen eye for detail, I have honed my skills in translation, interpretation, and proofreading. My proficiency extends to various computer tools and platforms, ensuring efficient and accurate work delivery. Beyond my professional endeavors, I find joy in politics, law, psychology, literature, and technological advancements. Additionally, I indulge in choir singing, documentaries, cycling, traveling, and exploring music from different eras.
