Discussion

Helen Johnson (asker) Jul 11, 2007:
George, a back translation is where another translator has translated (e.g.) a text from English into Swedish, and you then translate that same Swedish back into English. It's a way of checking the accuracy/correctness of the Swedish translation and is frequently used in the medical field (in my experience so far, anyway).

What is a back translation?
Helen Johnson (asker) Jul 11, 2007:
In case it makes a difference, i.e. if anything looks different from what you know is usually used, I'm doing a back translation.
