Beatriz aqui no Brasil eu tenho visto usarem wafer mesmo. São micro-circuitos. Quando eles aparecereram nos EUA, logo deram esse apelido porque parecem mesmo, são fininhos e tem uma retícula quadrada que lembra os wafers que os americanos tanto gostam, feitos numa espécie de assadeira elétrica que tem essa matriz de quadradinhos.
