tetupai
naz, this is just a calculated guess, but below is my rationale:
- picture looks like a cleat (tetupai) of sort, or at least appears to be something that is used like a cleat.
- various descriptions of a 'cleat':
1) A strip of wood or metal used to strengthen the surface to which rope is attached.
2) A fastener (usually with two projecting horns) around which a rope can be secured.
3) A metal or leather projection; prevents slipping.
- kamus perwira gives the definition of 'tetupai' as: ~nm. kepingan kayu, logam, dan lain-lain untuk menyokong, menyambung, atau mengukuhkan sambungan.

just a thought... the loop is probably what the \'eye\' is. so perhaps something in the line of \"tetupai bergelung\" or \"tetupai bermata\".

mata pelapik
pad = "pelapik, alas, pad, tempat tinggal". eye = "mata". An alternative is "mata kerek". "mata kerek = bulatan kerek" (Ref. Kamus Besar Utusan, p. 1140). "kerek = takal, kapi" = pulley.

pad tindik
eyebolt is bolt tindik
pad is pad/alas kimpal; i think pad fits better in this instance.
so pad eye/padeye = pad tindik
this is just a suggestion. just like May pointed out, perhaps this can be translated as tetupai because a cleat does function like a pad eye in a lot of ways. but they don't look the same, do they?
