è la base, il supporto su cui è fissata la lama del temperamatite.
Ho trovato anche "lametta" ma Treccani la chiama "piccola lama"

che il temperamatite abbia un supporto o un porta lama, comunque si sostituisce tutto il gruppo e non solo la lama, almeno secondo quanto dice l'inglese...
